Confessions of a D-List Supervillain - Jim Bernheimer

Nothing but a fun, silly piece of good old fashioned science fiction thin on plot and brimming over with inventive tech, enjoyable characters, and dry humor. You can almost feel the author's glee at describing the protagonist's suit enhancements - a story like this could only come from the mind of an inventor or computer scientist. Heinlein would appreciate the style, as he was mentally wired in a similar way - loved to place emphasis on the interesting details of a sci-fi predicament more than craft some sort of overarching plot concept. He gloried in the interesting trees and had had little care for the shape of the forest. I listened to the audio version and enjoyed it, though the female voice at the end was quite poor. I'll look into the sequels.
